McFun for the Larkin High School cross country team at McDonald's

The Larkin High School cross country team held a fundraiser night at the Elgin McDonald's on Larkin. This fundraiser was organized to help raise money for the team by having coaches work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales to the team.

On Wednesday, Oct. 18, the coaches serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families.

The jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, selling pies, and even dressing up in a pie costume - all duties which were executed with great enthusiasm.

There was entertainment for all who came out to enjoy this fun-filled evening of fundraising. On hand was the school mascot "Royals", Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Jasmine Cabral doing face painting, Miquel Rodriquez playing the saxophone, and Brian Molena playing the clarinet.

A special thank you goes to cross country team coach Jose Uriostegui, who organized the entire event as well as everyone that worked and attended the event. The Larkin High School cross country team worked very hard making sure the families enjoyed a great evening.
