Rotary Club sponsors Community Dinner at Emmaus House

On July 23rd, the Rotary Club of Long Grove, Kildeer and Hawthorn Woods sponsored the Sunday evening community dinner at Emmaus House in Lake Zurich. The dinner is held weekly in the lower level of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Club members participating in the event included: Jim Dopler (President) of Kildeer, and his wife, Marilyn, Bill Ferreira (Past District Governor) of Long Grove, Adam Keppel of Cary and his wife, Cristina. Numerous other volunteers from the local community also help out with the event each week. A picnic themed menu was planned including fried chicken, along with assorted salads, vegetables, deserts and beverages. Approximately 140 guests attended the event.

Emmaus House provides food, clothing and funding for shelter to families in need in Lake County, helping them move from crisis to stability.

The Rotary Club of Long Grove, Kildeer and Hawthorn Woods meets every Tuesday morning at 7:15 AM at Joanie's Pizza in Long Grove. More information about the Club is available at RCLG.org.
