CLC hosts open house at Grayslake Campus

Current high school students and their parents, as well as returning adults, are invited to see all the College of Lake County has to offer at an open house Thursday, Nov. 9. The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. at the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St.

Prospective students can speak with current students and enrollment services staff and faculty members and go on a campus tour that highlights new classrooms and student spaces. The open house will be held in the Student Commons and the B Wing Welcome and One Stop Center, just inside the main entrance. Parking is available in Lot 4 near the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts.

The open house will provide answers to the questions that prospective students most frequently ask. Campus tours will be offered throughout the event, featuring new spaces and stops at Café Willow and Prairie, the student-managed restaurant.

Prize drawings will be held throughout the event, and WXLC 102.3 will broadcast live from the open house. A fire engine from the Grayslake Fire Protection District will be on hand to draw attention to CLC's Fire Science program, the only Illinois college program where firefighter students actually work as interns in a local fire department.
