WBBM reporter Bernie Tafoya to speak at Lions Club Oct. 19

The Dundee Township Lions Club invites the community to meet WBBM radio reporter and personality Bernie Tafoya at its Oct. 19 meeting.

Bernie has been with WBBM News radio 780 since 1986 and is a general assignment reporter. He has covered everything from education and politics to crime and religion.

Tafoya will speak at the club's Thursday meeting that begins at 6 p.m. at The Village Squire, 125 Washington St. in downtown West Dundee.

The Dundee Township Lions Club is celebrating its 80th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of the Lions International. The 46,000 clubs and 1.4-plus million members make it the world's largest service club organization. "Everywhere we work, we make friends."
