Serve City Volleyball hosting high school club tryouts Oct. 22, 30

Serve City Volleyball is hosting girls club tryouts for its high school teams in the Wheaton, West Dundee/Elgin and Des Plaines areas. Serve City's first tryout is Sunday, October 22 at its Wheaton, West Dundee and Des Plaines practice locations. Makeup tryouts will then take place on October 30 and November 2 in Wheaton.

Tryouts in Des Plaines will run from 9 to 11 a.m. on October 22 at Oakton Community College in Des Plaines. Serve City is offering 13-and-under, 14-and-under and 16-and-under teams at Oakton.

Tryouts continue at Lifezone 360, 999 W. Main St. in West Dundee, from 1 to 3 p.m. on October 22. Serve City is offering a 15/16s team out of Lifezone.

Tryouts in Wheaton take place at the Central Athletic Complex, 500 S. Naperville Road, from 7 to 9 p.m. on October 22 for athletes in ninth to 11th grade who are not on a varsity school team. Serve City is offering 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U teams out of Wheaton.

Serve City's high school teams begin practicing the week of November 27. The season includes eight to nine tournaments in the Chicago area and concludes April 21 unless you play for a national team, whose season runs until the Asics Jr. National Tournament at Navy Pier in Chicago on June 15 to 17.
