Elgin Genealogical Society offers tips on Try-It Illinois

Learn about Try-It Illinois and Heritage Quest at the next meeting of the Elgin Genealogical Society at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., in Elgin.

Melissa Lane will talk about the annual Try-It Illinois database trial which runs from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30. This allows you to access a ton of genealogy databases from home!

Learn how to navigate these resources, as well as the resources on Heritage Quest that is available at the Gail Borden Public Library. Lane has worked at the Gail Borden library for more than 10 years.

The public is invited to attend all Elgin Genealogical Society meetings, the morning meetings are on the first Tuesday and evening meetings the third Thursday of the month. For details, visit elginroots.com.
