French landscape artist exhibits at Prospect Heights Library

On Friday, Sept. 1, at the Prospect Heights Public Library, French landscape artist Didier Nolet opened an exhibition titled "Terre Marécageuse: Wetlands Come to Life."

Nolet's work usually blends vision and memory to create landscapes, but a recent tour of the Prospect Heights Slough and surrounding areas so moved him that he agreed to create this show based on the location.

It is the first in a series of Prospect Heights nature-based art exhibitions produced by the Public Library and the Prospect Heights Natural Resources Commission.

Didier Nolet lives and works in Chicago and teaches throughout the Chicago area. His work is shown and is featured in many collections and galleries around the world.

Join the Prospect Heights Library from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, for a reception and meet and greet with the artist. Nolet will give a brief presentation about the work. No registration is required, just drop in.

The exhibition runs through Saturday, Sept. 30, and all works are for sale.

This premier show of the series is being held in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of the Prospect Heights Public Library District, 12 N. Elm St. For information, call (847) 259-3500.
