Take a 'Late Summer Ride' in Schaumburg

Grab your phone, hop on a bike and head to Schaumburg's bike trails.

Join Schaumburg Park District on the village trails through Sept. 4 for Late Summer Ride Schaumburg. As part of this free adventure, cyclists are invited to use social media to upload "bikies" (selfies with their bikes) along the way.

"There are 15 different stops around the Schaumburg paths to take your 'bikies,'" said Kathleen Benson, general program supervisor and Bock Neighborhood Center manager. "This is a fun and interactive event that incorporates health, fitness and Schaumburg's scenic bike paths."

Each photo posted to social media earns points based on the number of stops visited. Participants who take photos at all 15 stops will be entered in a drawing for a grand prize. All riders will receive a participation gift.

Maps are available at parkfun.com. Post "bikies" using hashtag #bikeSPD2017 on Twitter and Instagram, or emailing them to hello@parkfun.com.
