Bloomingdale summer camps offer free breakfast, lunch

There will never be a day where a summer camper goes hungry at the Bloomingdale Park District.

Thanks to the Illinois State Board of Education Seamless Summer Option, the park district will offer free breakfast and lunch to all summer day campers.

"We are thankful to have the opportunity to collaborate with the Illinois State Board of Education Seamless Summer Program to provide our campers with a healthy, convenient breakfast and lunch options," said Bloomingdale Park District Executive Director Carrie Fullerton.

"This type of partnership truly supports and benefits participants in our day camp programs."

The Bloomingdale Park District summer camp program offers numerous opportunities for children to have a fun and memorable camp experience. The program is designed to spark children's imaginations, grow new friendships, and assist them in discovering new talents every day.

Parents may register children for summer camp online at bloomingdaleparks.org or in person at the Johnston Recreation Center, 172 S. Circle Ave., Bloomingdale.

For information on the summer camp program, contact Recreation Supervisor Liz Serruto at (630) 529-3650 or liz@bloomingdaleparks.org.
