Geneva school district to host retirement open house May 16

Geneva Unit District 304's 10th annual Retirement Open House will be held Tuesday, May 16, in the Geneva Middle School South cafeteria, 1415 Viking Drive. A reception will be held from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m., followed by a brief recognition ceremony from 4:15 to 4:30 p.m.

Retirees along with building, position and number of years employed in the district are: Bill Alles, music teacher at Geneva Middle School South, 32; David Baier, custodian at Geneva High School, 8; Laura Fisher, reading tutor at Harrison Street Elementary School, 23; Joanne Green, reading tutor at Mill Creek Elementary School, 16; Louise Grissinger, art teacher at Geneva High School, 17; Nancy Krasinski, Acceleration/Enrichment at Williamsburg Elementary School, 23; Tom Livingston, technology education at Geneva Middle School North, 31; Mary Ann Stearn, librarian at Harrison Street Elementary School, 37; and Diane Venneri, fifth-grade teacher at Fabyan Elementary School, 25.

Retirees not attending include Margaret Clark, administrative assistant at Friendship Station, and Rhonda Holycross, reading lab assistant at Geneva Middle School South.

This is an opportunity for district staff and students, the community, and the family/friends of the retirees to say thanks and good luck to those who have served the district so well for so many years.
