Blackhawks' Strome, Jones expected to face Wild

The Blackhawks removed Dylan Strome from COVID protocol Thursday and the forward took part in practice at Fifth Third Arena. Strome, who has 3 goals and 7 assists in 26 games, centered the top line with Brandon Hagel and Patrick Kane as his wingers.

Defenseman Seth Jones also practiced for the first time since being placed in protocol Jan. 11.

Strome and Jones are expected to face Minnesota Friday at the United Center.

Interim coach Derek King said it's also possible Kirby Dach could play if he tests out of protocol and feels 100%.

Brett Connolly could test out of protocol Saturday.

Waive no-trade clause?

While the trade deadline isn't until March 21, there are plenty of rumors flying around about unrestricted free agents like Hawks goalie Marc-Andre Fleury.

Fleury steered clear when asked Thursday if he'd waive his no-trade clause to join a contender.

"I don't know," Fleury said. "Not my thought yet. All I want is to have this team make the playoffs. Honestly, that's what's in my head right now. To me, it's not worth looking too far ahead."
