Clubhouse Chatter: Name your all-time NBA starting five

What our Sports staff has to say while waiting for the games to resume.

Magic running the show, Michael at the 2, LBJ at the 3, Kareem at the 4 and Wilt at the 5. Had to find a way to get Chamberlain and Abdul-Jabbar in the lineup together. Amazing how often you see a list like this and Chamberlain is not mentioned.

Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Kobe Bryant works for me.

Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan in the backcourt, LeBron James and Tim Duncan at forward, and I'll go outside the box with Hakeem Olajuwon at center. Oscar Robertson is my sixth man. I'm a little worried about our outside shooting the way basketball is played today. Maybe a Larry Bird or Kevin Durant would be a better fit to space the court instead of Duncan.

Let's see, NBA starting five ... Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Karl Malone, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

- Dave Oberhelman

Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, LeBron James, Steph Curry.

- Jerry Fitzpatrick

I'll take Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Michael Jordan in the backcourt and use Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as my big men.

PG Magic Johnson, SG Michael Jordan, SF Scottie Pippen, PF Charles Barkley, C Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. I know there are better small forwards than Scottie (LeBron James, Larry Bird), but every starting five needs a guy like Pippen who isn't afraid to be a wingman sometimes or play various roles. And I know there are better power forwards than Barkley (Tim Duncan, Karl Malone) but every starting five needs a great rebounder and someone to bring some levity to tough situations. Barkley is SO fun!
