Clubhouse Chatter: Guess who's coming to dinner?
What our Sports staff has to say while waiting for the games to resume.
Michael Jordan: Because he was my idol in basketball growing up. Pat Summitt: Because she did so much to grow women's sports, specifically women's basketball. Mary Lou Retton: When I was a kid, before I figured out that someone who was destined to be 6-foot-3 would not make a good gymnast, I used to do bad cartwheels in my backyard pretending I was Mary Lou Retton.

Walter Payton, Jarrett Payton and Stan Mikita. I only had the opportunity to interview Walter and Stan one time each, but both were extremely gracious with their time. I'd love to get to know Stan a bit more on a personal level, then ask him for some golf tips to fix my goofy swing. I idolized Walter growing up - he is the best football player of all-time in my eyes - and it would be so neat for him to be able to sit with Jarrett one more time to see what a wonderful husband and father his son has become.

The Chicago Blackhawks' Stan Mikita was a marvelous storyteller. A chance meeting with Chicago Cub Randy Hundley encouraged me to play catcher. New York Yankees first baseman Lou Gehrig seemed to symbolize humility, dignity and perseverance.

Micky Mantle, Jo Jo White and Bill Shoemaker. Just because they were from an era of sports that I enjoyed and they were among my favorites. I would love to hear what they thought about the state of today's sports landscape.
