Grayslake Central hangs on for 3A regional crown

Grayslake Central's girls basketball team defeated No. 8 Crystal Lake South 42-37 to capture the Class 3A Prairie Ridge regional championship on Thursday night.

Illinois State recruit Kate Bullman had another monster game for the Rams, scoring a game-high 25 points. Amanda Kocialkowski added six.

The top-seeded Rams (28-3) advance to the Crystal Lake South sectional and will play No. 5 Deerfield in Tuesday's first semifinal (6 p.m.).

The regional title is Grayslake Central's second in three years. The Rams have won 20 games in a row.
