Lake Forest ends Palatine's season
No. 5 seeded Lake Forest won its own Class 4A regional girls basketballl semifinal on Wednesday night 51-41 over No. 12 Palatine (15-14).
The Scouts took an 18-6 lead after one quarter. The Pirates got to within 37-33 in the second half.
Lake Forest (24-8) will play No. 4 Stevenson (25-7) on Friday at 7 p.m. for the title.
