Grant keeps rolling in own tourney

Grant's girls basketball team continued to roll in its own holiday tournament on Monday, as the Bulldogs defeated Waukegan 57-37.

It was the seventh win in eight games for Grant (9-4, 2-0 tourney), which is trying to successfully defend its championship.

Grant will next play De La Salle at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Warren 49, De La Salle 45: At Grant, the Blue Devils won their first game in the tournament, improving to 1-1 while snapping a four-game losing streak.

Warren (4-9) will next play North Chicago at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Deerfield 63, North Chicago 44: At Grant, the Warriors improved to 2-0 in the tournament.

Deerfield will next play Waukegan at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Streamwood 41, Mundelein 31: At Libertyville, the Mustangs fell to 0-3 in the tournament.

Mundelein (1-12) will play Niles West in the seventh-place game at 10 a.m. Thursday.
