Boys soccer: Crystal Lake South ends FVC play with win

Crystal Lake South 1, Hampshire 0: After a scoreless first half, Alex Canfield scored an unassisted goal for the Gators (14-4-4, 7-1-1) and it would prove to be the winning goal. Hampshire (13-9-2, 4-4-1) had 10 shots on goal, but Carson Hill stopped every scoring attempt to earn the shutout.

Kaneland 3, St. Edward 1: The Knights took a 1-0 lead into halftime, and after the Green Wave scored the tying goal, Kaneland answered with 2 more goals for the win. Kaneland (15-6) utilized a balanced attack, with goals scored by Tucker Jahns, Allen Dominguez and Ryan Nudo.

Prairie Ridge 2, Huntley 1: The Red Raiders (9-10-1, 4-5) were up at the half, but unfortunately an own goal in the second half ended up being the winning goal for Prairie Ridge. Austin Killen scored for Huntley and Ethan Kornas tallied 6 saves in goal.
