Girls volleyball: Dundee-Crown battles but falls short

Cary-Grove d. Dundee-Crown 25-16, 25-19: The Chargers (6-13, 3-10) put up a soild effort against Fox Valley Conference foe Cary-Grove but couldn't quite stop the Trojans. Jenna Brown led Dundee-Crown with 15 assists and 9 digs. MacKenzie Field had 6 kills and blocks and Natalia Smiech finished with 4 kills and 4 digs for the Chargers.

Huntley d. Crystal Lake South 25-14, 25-15: Jenna Rhoades led the Gators (9-9, 6-7) with 16 assists in a loss in Fox Valley Conference action Tuesday night. McKenzie Wilson added 9 digs and Sam Wesoly finished with 5 kills for CL South.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                       
 

St. Charles East d. Batavia 25-10, 25-21: Unforced errors hurt Batavia (8-18, 2-3) against a strong offensive effort from St. Charles East. Priya Dave' led the Bulldogs with 15 assists and 5 digs. Alexis Whelpley and Lauren Haefer each added 4 kills and Grace Wecker finished with 5 digs.
