Girls volleyball: South Elgin stays perfect in UEC

South Elgin d. Glenbard South 22-25, 26-24, 25-23: In a very even Upstate Eight Conference matchup, it was South Elgin (19-8, 6-0) that came out on top, led by 10 assists, 12 digs, and 7 kills from Kendal Richardson. Anna Skrzpchak added 13 assists and 6 digs and Hayley Fisher finished with 9 kills and 9 digs for the Storm.

Geneva d. Wheaton North 25-10, 28-26: Devynn Day led the attack for Geneva (11-11) with 5 kills. Piper Drazek added 13 assists and Grance Hinchman finished with 14 digs for the Vikings.

Cary-Grove d. Dundee-Crown 25-14, 25-14: Alyssa Crenshaw had 6 kills and 6 digs for Dundee-Crown (2-16, 0-11) and Jenna Brown had 13 assists. Payton Schmidt added 9 digs in the loss for the Chargers.

Timothy Christian d. Aurora Central Catholic 25-21, 25-21: Ava Wilkins and Khya Phillipe led the defense for Aurora Central (13-16, 0-2) with 8 digs each. Kaleigh Remlinger had 5 kills and Megan Anderson added 6 assists.

West Aurora d. Bartlett 25-17. 25-17: Olivia McPherson had 12 kills and 5 digs for West Aurora (15-6, 5-1) and Jenna Millen added 12 assists and 4 digs. Lauren Greenwood finished with 15 digs and 2 assists.

St. Charles East d. Batavia 25-14, 25-17: Despite taking a lead in the second game of the match, Batavia (12-9, 3-2) could not hold on for a win. Maddy Boyer had 6 kills, Lauren Haefer had 12 digs, Sam Juarez had 9 digs, and Ali Northrop finished with 5 kills for the Bulldogs.

Crystal Lake Central d. Hampshire 25-14, 25-21: Team captain Sam Rosetti had 5 kills, 10 assists and a block for Hampshire (8-4-1) and Riley Seagren added 6 kills. Jacey Lambert finished with 4 kills for the Whip-Purs.
