Pacheco's late goal lifts Dundee-Crown

Dundee-Crown 2, Lincoln-Way West 1: After taking a 1-1 tie into the second half, Juan Pacheco knocked in the winning goal off a pass from Julian Saldaña with 10 minutes left in the game to give the Chargers (7-2-0) a victory at the PepsiCo Challenge. The first half goal was scored by Roland Dearborn, also assisted by Saldaña. Tending goal for Dundee-Crown was Nathan Becker in the first half, with 2 saves, and Venancio Mejia in the second half, also with 2 saves and holding Lincoln-Way West scoreless in the second half.

St. Viator 1, St. Edward 0: For 74 minutes, the Wave and Lions battled to a scoreless tie, with the Lions owning the time of possession, but the Wave (6-2) owning the advantage in opportunities. St. Viator then scored with just under 6 minutes to play to take this PepsiCo Showdown Series Charity Pod game. Evan Sajtar was in goal for St. Edward, denying all but one crucial shot on goal. Sajtar finished with 4 saves.

CL South 3, Streamwood 1: The Gators (7-2-2) continued to show why they are the defending state champs, downing Streamwood (4-5-2) at the PepsiCo Challenge. Michael Dejworek got things rolling, scoring off a pass from Alex Canfield. Tyler Getzinger scored on a first half penalty kick and Colton Weidner knocked in a second half goal unassisted. Carson Hill saved 6 shots in goal for Crystal Lake South.

West Chicago 3, Huntley 0: The Red Raiders struggled on both sides of the ball, dropping this PepsiCo Challenge game to West Chicago on Thursday night. Ethan Kornas took the first 20 minutes in goal for Huntley, saving 4 shots, and Tyler Bahwell finished the game with an additional save.
