Huntley, Crystal Lake South net FVC wins

Huntley d. Hampshire 25-10, 25-8: The Red Raiders (9-0, 8-0) remained undefeated with a decisive win over neighboring rival Hampshire on Thursday night. Kylie Jenkins led Huntley with 9 kills and 7 digs. Emma Konie added 13 kills and Taylor Jakubowski finished with 20 assists for Huntley.

Crystal Lake Central d. Dundee-Crown 25-12, 25-17: The Chargers (3-10, 1-7) delivered a well-rounded attack, but fell just shy of stopping Fox Valley Conference opponent Crystal Lake Central. Natalia Smiech had 4 kills and 4 digs for Dundee-Crown and Jenna Brown had 9 assists and 4 digs.

Christian Liberty d. Westminster Christian 25-8, 22-25, 25-15: After bouncing back in the second set from a tough first-set loss, the Warriors (2-15, 0-5) couldn't find enough to battle all the way back. Sophie Kovachevich came through with 6 kills and 9 digs for Westminster Christian, while Lizzy Muschong served up 4 aces and added 10 digs, and Gretchen Hill finished with 11 assists and 3 digs.

CL South d. McHenry 25-11, 16-25, 25-20: The Gators fell short in the second set, but came back strong in the third set to take this Fox Valley Conference match. Jenna Rhoades led CL South (4-4, 4-4) with 23 assists, Samantha Wesoly had 14 kills and 11 digs, Ashley Drzewiecki added 7 kills, and Megan Langdon finished with 5 kills and 3 blocks for the Gators.
