Boys golf: They played Ivanhoe Monday, but Mother Nature won
Barrington High School hosted its annual boys golf invitational at Ivanhoe Golf Club near Mundelein Monday. Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate, sending lightning and threatening weather through the area before all of the players even had a chance to finish nine holes.
Daily Herald photographer Steve Lundy was on hand early, though, and captured several images of the student-athlete golfers on the course prior to the severe weather siren blaring, sending them to their respective buses and back to their schools.
Even though they didn't get to finish their rounds, playing Ivanhoe at least for part of a round was a treat for all.
