Versteeg agrees to 1-year deal with IceHogs

Two-time Stanley Cup winner and former Blackhawks forward Kris Versteeg agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Rockford IceHogs on Monday.

The 32-year-old Versteeg played in the KHL and the Swedish Hockey League last season. He spent the previous two seasons playing for the Calgary Flames, although he only appeared in 24 games in 2017-18.

Versteeg helped the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup in 2010 and '15. He has 149 goals and 209 assists in 643 NHL games.
