Baseball: Glenbard East's Schoenke becomes first girl to record a win
Glenbard East defeated Elgin 17-1 in an Upstate Eight Conference baseball game behind winning pitcher Mary Schoenke.
Schoenke, a senior, is believed to be the first girl to win a varsity baseball game in IHSA history. Schoenke and her fellow pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter.
