Baseball: Mundelein's Hanscom no-hits Waukegan

Jonathan Hanscom pitched a five-inning no-hitter, as Mundelein's baseball team defeated Waukegan 12-1 in North Suburban Conference action Monday.

Hanscom struck out 11 and didn't walk a batter, and the 1 run he allowed was unearned.

Christian Diaz, Jared Dorfman and Andrew Schroeder all doubled for the Mustangs. Diaz, Schroeder and Justin Binz each had 2 hits.

Stevenson 23, Zion-Benton 1: Joey Little hit a grand slam, Ryan McElhinney went 3-for-3 with 4 RBI, and Chris Farina was 3-for-4 with 2 RBI for the Patriots in the North Suburban Conference game.

Stevenson got doubles from Hayden Brotz, Farina, Isaiah Hart, McElhinny and Drew Ruchim.

Warren 11, Libertyville 0: Dru Jasnoch allowed just 2 hits over 5 innings, as host Blue Devils shut out the Wildcats in North Suburban Conference action.

Warren (11-2, 3-0) received 2-for-3 efforts from Nate Rentas (double, 2 RBI), Thomas Kenney (2 RBI), Bradley Vondruska (3 RBI) and Brandon Houtz. Casey Cobe was 1-for-2 with 2 RBI.

Jasnoch struck out four in improving to 3-1.

Derek Calamari suffered the loss.
