Softball: Hampshire blanks Schaumburg

Hampshire scored 6 runs in the top of the fifth inning for its final runs of a 12-0 five-inning triumph over host Schaumburg in nonconference softball action on Monday.

Junior Talia Torosian and sophomore Sophie Rainey each went 1-for-2 for the Saxons' only hits. Freshman pitcher Morgan Miller struck out four.

Schaumburg (0-3) hosts Willowbrook on Thursday at 11 a.m.
