Boys lacrosse: Rodriguez's 5 goals lead Grayslake North

Tony Rodriguez scored 5 goals and added an assist, and Grayslake North's boys lacrosse team defeated Glenbard West 12-9 Saturday to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Glenbard West is ranked in the top 5 in the state.

Nicholas Fish had 2 goals and 2 assists for the Knights, Michael Trabulsy finished with 1 goal and 3 assists, and Ethan Patton and JJ Johnson each scored twice as well. Mikey Brown contributed 2 assists, while the defense was led by Cam Herlt with 9 saves. Coach Brad Fish added Matt Staudt, Payton Taylor, Matt Sheehan and Adam George were "tough all day long," as was Kyle Bosshart on faceoffs.
