Baseball: Dundee-Crown wins opener

Dundee-Crown 10, Elk Grove 3: Dundee-Crown (1-0) put up five runs in the fifth inning with Enrique Aramburo, Justin Colon, Justin Lawson and Joey Marczyk all knocking in runs in the inning.

Riley Fischer earned the victory for the Chargers in 2 innings, allowing just 1 hit and 1 run and striking out three.

Lisle 11, Aurora Central Catholic 10: The Chargers (3-1) fought all the way back from a 4-run deficit before taking their first loss of the season on walk-off single. Rocky Lutz led Aurora Central with 2 hits and Tommy Masuras had a home run. Matt Jeter took the loss for the Chargers.

Batavia 14, Minooka 10: In a battle of the bats, it was the Bulldogs (2-0) who came out on top. Marko Yager and Brady King each had 3 hits to lead the offense, and Yager also earned the win on the mound for Batavia.

St. Viator 4, Huntley 2: The Red Raiders (1-2) fell behind early and could not find enough offense to make a comeback. James Sibert took the loss, allowing 2 hits and 2 runs over 4 innings. Hunter Rumachik had 2 hits including a double to lead Huntley.
