The skinny: Since beating St. Louis on Jan. 21, Los Angeles has won just once in regulation. The Kings have also lost 10 straight, four in overtime or a shootout. … Anze Kopitar, who scored twice in a 4-3 OT loss to Dallas on Thursday, leads Los Angeles with 19 goals. Drew Doughty -- the 2016 winner of the Norris Trophy for best defenseman -- has 5 goals, 29 assists and has a minus-27 rating, second worst in the league. … Ilya Kovalchuk (13G, 15A) missed the last game with an upper-body injury and is questionable to face the Hawks. … The Kings beat the Hawks 2-1 in a shootout on Nov. 16. … Jonathan Toews has 11 goals and 13 assists in the Hawks' last 15 games. Brandon Saad has 10 goals and 5 assists in the last 20.
