Burlington Central clinches share of KRC crown

With an 83-50 victory over Harvard on Tuesday, Burlington Central clinched a share of the Kishwaukee River Conference championship.

The Rockets (21-8, 9-2) lead Johnsburg (17-11, 8-3) by one game and can win the title outright by beating Woodstock North (15-12, 6-4) in Burlington Central's home finale Friday night.

Patrick Mayfield led all scorers with 32 points for Burlington Central and Braden Seyller added 17 points. Also scoring in double digits for the Rockets was Josh Hudgens with 14 points.

LaSalle-Peru 63, Kaneland 60: After many lead changes and a photo finish, LaSalle-Peru just managed to edge out the Knights (6-23). Will Cushman led Kaneland with 15 points, while Bryce Ebert and Luke Brost finished with 12 points and 10 points, respectively.

Huntley 53, Hampshire 48: Uchenna Egekeze led Huntley (16-14, 9-7) with 15 points, followed by Ryan Sroka with 14 points. Nathan Draper rounded out the top scorers for the Red Raiders with 13 points.

Leading Hampshire (15-15, 9-6) were Collin Woods and Nick Erickson with 13 points each.

Crystal Lake Central 50, Dundee-Crown 45: Joshua Raby was the only Charger to hit double digits, scoring 16 points as Dundee-Crown (17-9, 8-7) dropped a close one in Fox Valley Conference action to the Tigers (18-11, 11-4).
