Burlington Central's Schmidt final MVP for 2018-19

Kathryn Schmidt of Burlington Central is this week's Daily Herald MVP for girls basketball. Below are the final MVPs for the 2018-19 season.

Kathryn Schmidt, Burlington Central: The 6-foot junior forward helped the Rockets clinch a share of the Kishwaukee River Conference championship with a 50-35 win over Woodstock North. Schmidt made 8 of 13 shots from 2-point range and 11 of 14 free throws for 27 points while adding 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

Greta Kampschroeder, Naperville North: The 6-foot sophomore helped the Huskies finish 8-0 in the DuPage Valley Conference. She scored 23 points with 8 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal in a win over Metea Valley. Against Neuqua Valley Kampschroeder had 26 points and 14 rebounds.

Rosie Drevline, Grayslake Central: The Rams wrapped up a 14-0 campaign in the Northern Lake County Conference after earning a share of the title in each of the last two seasons. The senior guard has been a starter on all three championship squads. Her season-high 19 points in the Rams' regular-season finale, a 52-38 win over Round Lake, came after she scored a team-best 12 points against Grant.

Olivia Hill, Fremd: The 6-foot junior forward picked a perfect game to produce one of her top games of the season. Hill collected a team-high 15 points (three 3-pointers) and 9 rebounds to help the Vikings to a 51-35 win at Rolling Meadows in the 46th annual Mid-Suburban League championship game.
