Murray nets 19 to lead Elk Grove

Junior Megan Murray scored a game-high 19 points and sophomore Isabella Tierney added 12 to help lead Elk Grove's girls basketball team to a 55-47 nonconference win at Willowbrook.

Coach Jen Guth's Grenadiers (8-11) have won five of their last seven games.

Barrington 45, St. Charles East 33: Taylor Thompson (17 points), Sydney Granby (14) and Anna Mae King (13) led host Barrington (7-14) to the nonconference win.

Conant 60, Deerfield 47: Host Conant (8-11) was led by Hannah Shulman (19 points) and Abbey DiSalvo (11) in the nonconference win. Neeha Kakuturu (9 points) had three 3-pointers)

Schaumburg 33, Niles West 26: Katie Smith and Talia Torosian (three 3-pointers) each scored 9 points to lead the host Saxons (10-10) to the nonconference win.

Leyden 68, Ridgewood 33: All nine Eagles who played scored in the nonconference game at Ridgewood.
