Wauconda rallies to beat Lakes

"It's always any exciting game against Lakes," Wauconda coach Jaime Dennis said. "They are always well-prepared and play well on their own floor. We struggled to get any rhythm in the first half and didn't stick to our game plan very well. We came out strong in the third quarter and had a much better second half. We finally came alive from the three-point line. In a one-point game everyone did something to make a difference. Every point, every rebound, every steal was important. Good team win."

"We played a good first half," Lakes coach Brian Phelan said. "We did not finish the third quarter well, and they grabbed the momentum going into the fourth quarter. Back and forth all fourth quarter, and we came up a bit short. Tylka had a great game. She is tough cover."
