Scouting report: Blackhawks at Flyers

The skinny: The Flyers were 4-7-0 after 11 games, but went 3-0-1 on a four-game road trip out West, then kicked off a five-game homestand with a 5-4 OT victory over Arizona on Thursday. The Coyotes led 4-2 after two periods. "We're a confident team," coach Dave Hakstol told reporters. "Guys in the room are tight. You either blow apart or come together. This was a good sign tonight. This was a character win." … Claude Giroux (6G, 13A), Jakub Voracek (4G, 12A) and Wayne Simmonds (7G, 3A) are the Flyers' leading scorers. Simmonds, however, has just 1 goal in the last eight games. … The Hawks and Flyers split their two meetings last season.
