Carmel d. Woodstock: At Rockford Boylan, Annie Bart slammed 10 kills, Kaitlyn Donton dished out 15 assists, and the Corsairs won their eighth match in a row.

Top-seeded Carmel won the Class 3A regional championship 25-15, 25-14 to improve to 22-15, while ending No. 5 Woodstock's season at 24-13-1

Carmel advances to the Woodstock North sectional and will play Kaneland in Monday's 6:30 p.m. semifinal.

The Corsairs' other contributors included Riley Clark (3 kills, 2 blocks), Tayah Farris (3 kills), Mya Mainzer (3 kills, 3 blocks), Jolina Moisio (6 digs), Milana Moisio (15 digs), Patti Needham (7 assists) and Eileen Tarcha (5 kills, 3 aces).

"I'm very proud of how this team is playing together right now," Carmel coach David Pazely said. "Annie caught fire so we kept feeding her, but it was a complete team performance. All five of our hitters are a threat, as they combined for 26 kills on the night, our serve receive passed at a 2.45, and we racked up 43 digs, 7 blocks and 6 aces. We know we have a challenge ahead of us on Monday, but we look forward to the opportunity to keep this 8-game win streak alive."

Crystal Lake Central d. Libertyville: At Libertyville, the second-seeded Tigers captured the Class 4A regional championship.

No. 7 Libertyville finished 20-17.
