Girls golf: Barrington tied for third after day one

After one day of the IHSA state girls golf finals in Decatur, Barrington is tied for third place with New Trier, behind leader St. Charles North and second place Loyola.

St. Charles North shot a 19-over par 307 to open up an 11-shot lead over Loyola. Barrington and New Trier each came in at 320 over the par 72 layout of the Hickory Point Golf Club.

Playing as an individual, St. Viator sophomore Cate Reisinger, the ESCC runner-up, shot a 76 and stands in a four-way tie for 10th place.

Wheeling senior Adrienne Rohwedder, an Illinois State recruit, shot a 78 to tie five others in 16th place.

Conant senior Michelle Zhang was one of nine players who shot an 82 (all tied for 40th place) and Prospect senior Emily Fleming recorded an 87.
