"Very proud of our boys' effort tonight," Knights coach Adam DeCaluwe said. "In the opening 10 minutes we allowed GBS a bit more space than we would like, as they were able to knock the ball around with too much ease and effectiveness. They were able to put a shot on frame and that seemed to wake our boys up, as we then stepped up our aggression, speed of play and the communication throughout the team."

Wauconda fell to 6-9-2.

Lakes (8-5-2) got goals from Andrew Gaetano and Brady Lucas, while Ravi Singh had an assist.

"Despite the score, we played really well at times," Eagles coach Kevin Kullby said. "But Mundelein made the most of their chances and proved to be the better team in the end."

Mundelein improved to 12-4-1.

Warren 1, Round Lake 1: Round Lake scored the tying goal in the second half to erase a 1-0 deficit at halftime of the nonconference match.
