Boys soccer: Elgin wins big
Elgin 10, Glenbard South 1: Omar Lopez had 4 goals and an assist in a huge win for Elgin. Also leading the Maroons (13-1-2, 6-0-1) was Cristopher Colin with 2 goals and 3 assists. Martin Jimenez allowed 1 goal and saved 1 shot.
Streamwood 2, South Elgin 1: Rolando Martinez and Jesus Limon each scored a goal for Streamwood (11-4-3, 4-1-2) and Bryan Mora assisted both goals. Antonio Herrera tallied 3 saves for the Sabres.
Dundee-Crown 3, McHenry 1: In a makeup game from a rainout, Dundee-Crown (13-3-3, 4-0-2) began play at 22:18 and hung on for the win. Samuel Lopez, Aldair Ortega and Roland Dearborn handled the scoring for the Chargers and Calvin Carlos added an assist. Damian Smeich and Venancio Mejia combined for one save in goal.
