Boys soccer: Alva, Ludwig lead Hampshire over Cary-Grove

Hampshire 2, Cary-Grove 1: In the Fox Valley Conference, Hampshire (10-3-4, 3-1-1) beat Cary Grove as Juan Alva and Nathan Ludwig scored goals and Dustin Segura had 12 saves for the victory.

Crystal Lake South 1, Crystal Lake Central 0: Alex Canfield scored an unassisted goal for Crystal Lake South (12-2-3, 4-0-1) which would be enough to win the game. Matt McCaleb saved 3 shots in goal for the Gators.

Prairie Ridge 2, Huntley 1: Brandon Ruffner, assisted by Justin Kornas, scored a first-half goal for Huntley (2-12-1, 1-6), but Prairie Ridge answered in the second half and scored in overtime for the win. Lucas Clemetsen had 5 saves for the Red Raiders.

St. Charles East 3, Wheaton North 1: Sabastian Carranza scored the second goal and assisted the third goal to lead St. Charles East (10-5, 4-1) to the DuKane Conference victory. Luke Schnitker and Truitt Battin also scored and Jack Settle picked up 6 saves.
