Girls volleyball: Jacobs edges Hampshire in 3

Jacobs d. Hampshire 25-17, 18-25, 25-19: Rachel Kaczorow had 29 assists for Jacobs (7-9, 6-5) and Tai Ramirez led the Golden Eagles with 20 digs and 10 kills. Maggie Wallenberger finished with 10 kills for Jacobs.

Huntley d, McHenry 25-23, 25-15: Julia Johnson and Loren Alberts each finished with 9 kills to lead the attack for the Red Raiders. Taylor Jakubowski added 28 assists and 10 digs for Huntley and Josie Schmitendorf also had 10 digs.

Cary-Grove d. Crystal Lake South 25-17, 20-25, 25-21: Kelly Carlson led the defense for Crystal Lake South (5-10, 3-7) with 16 digs. Kenzie Wilson added 18 assists, Amelia Reiter had 7 kills, and Shannon Minogue finished with 5 kills for the Gators.

South Elgin d. Harvest Christian 25-21, 25-19: Angie Negron led South Elgin (14-7, 5-0) with 8 kills and 7 digs. Anna Skrzpchak added 11 assists and 9 digs, and McKayla Geraghty finished with 11 digs.

St. Francis d. Batavia 25-17, 25-19: Sam Juarez led the Bulldogs (9-15) with 11 digs, 1 block and 5 kills. Maddy Boyer added 7 kills, 1 ace, 1 block and 4 digs, and Becca Robinson finished with 22 assists, 1 block and 10 digs.
