Girls volleyball: Huntley, Geneva notch wins

Huntley defeated Dundee-Crown 25-4, 25-17 on Thursday. Huntley (9-2, 7-2) was led by Emma Konie with 8 kills and 8 digs and Taylor Jakubowski with 25 assists and 16 digs. Jenna Brown paced the Chargers (2-14, 0-9) with 8 assists, 4 digs and 3 kills. Olivia Miller added 3 kills and 2 digs and Payton Schmidt finished with 3 assists and 3 digs.

Geneva d. West Aurora 15-25, 28-26, 25-20: Eli Ford led the attack for Geneva (10-8) with 10 kills, while Grace Hinchman and Anna Loberg finished with 13 digs and 12 digs, respectively. Piper Drazek added 16 assists for Geneva.


Chloey Myers led West Aurora (12-7) with 15 kills, 1 ace and 1 block. Olivia McPherson had 12 kills, 4 digs, 1 block and 1 assist, and Jenna Millen and Kiara McPherson finished with 16 assists each.

Crystal Lake Central d. Jacobs 25-11, 25-13: Maggie Wallenberger led the Golden Eagles (4-5, 5-9) with 5 kills. On defense, Tai Ramirez picked up 9 digs and Rachel Kaczorow finished with 8 kills.
