Boys soccer: O'Connor's goal lifts Jacobs over Larkin

Junior captain Johnny O'Connor scored the only goal giving Jacobs a 1-0 win over Larkin on Monday in Elgin.

Preston Krahl made 4 saves for Jacobs who is now 3-4-2.

Burlington Central 3, Marengo 2: Josh Madsen, Nick Varga and Thomas Mikkelsen scored goals for the Rockets (2-5-1, 2-1). Burlington Central keeper Tristan Samuelian made 7 saves.

Crystal Lake South 5, Prairie Ridge 2: The Gators took a 3-0 lead at halftime. Alex Canfield, assisted by Ryan Coughlin, opened the scoring. Nick Langdon scored on Andrew Edge's assist, and Coughlin put in the third goal on an assist from Colton Weidner.

Canfield added another goal in the second half assisted by Daniel Ciezadlo, and Langdon tallied the final goal on a penalty kick.

The Gators improved to 8-0-1, 1-0 while Prairie Ridge drops to 1-3, 0-1.
