Boys soccer: Dundee-Crown edges Huntley in two overtimes

Dundee-Crown defeated Huntley 1-0 in two overtimes on a goal by Samuel Lopez, assisted by Roland Dearborn, in the 99th minute on Tuesday.

Damian Smiech made 3 saves for the Chargers (4-1-1, 1-0) and Lucas Clemetsen made 8 saves for Huntley (0-5, 0-1).

Woodstock 6, Burlington Central 0: After taking a 1-0 lead at the half, Woodstock scored 5 second-half goals and shut out the Rockets. Tristan Samuelian and CJ Layung split duties in goal for Burlington Central (1-4-1) with 6 saves and 5 saves, respectively.

Christian Liberty 4, Aurora Christian 0: The Chargers (4-1, 1-0) scored 3 first half goals and sealed the win with a second half goal, while shutting out Aurora Christian.

Wheaton Academy 4, St. Edward 0: Highly ranked Wheaton Academy (6-0) handed St. Edward (6-1-1, 1-0) its first loss of the season. The Green Wave were unable to capitalize on early chances and fell behind 2-0 at halftime. Two late goals (one in the final seconds of the second half) gave the Warriors a 4-0 victory in Elgin. Evan Sajtar saved 6 shots for the Green Wave.
