Girls volleyball: Saturday's Fox Valley roundup

Katie Jablonski's 40 kills and 44 digs led Kaneland's girls volleyball team at the Wheaton North Invite this weekend.

The Knights went 1-2 in Saturday's action, losing to West Aurora and Glenbard West whil defeating York.

Other leaders for Kaneland (3-3) included Sydney Fedderly (25 kills, 60 assists), Grace Franz (23 kills, 25 digs), Natalie Kraemer (17 kills), Shelby Hannula (55 assists) and Julianna Vassallo (48 digs).

Batavia at Metea Valley: Batavia had a record of 1-4 in the tournament, finishing in third place in the Copper Division. The Bulldogs fell to St. Ignatius, Joliet Catholic, Harvest Christian and Burlington Central then defeated Lemont.

Maddy Boyer led the team with 53 digs, 6 aces, and co-led with 36 kills.

Lauren Haefer was 74-for-79 passing, and co-led with 36 kills, Becca Robinson had 103 assists and 37 digs and Alexis Whelpley registered 19 kills and 4 blocks.
