Chicago Bandits sign All-American Aleshia Ocasio

Two-time All-American Aleshia Ocasio, a pitcher and utility player at the University of Florida, has agreed to a three-year deal with the Chicago Bandits, team officials announced Monday.

Ocasio, who drafted 10th overall in the second round of the 2018 NPF Draft, won a national championship with the Gators in 2015.

"She's displayed her talent on both sides of the ball," said Bandits general manager Toni Calmeyn, "and we're looking forward to seeing her two-way play translate to the professional level."

This past season, Ocasio earned a 23-7 pitching record with a 1.45 ERA. She also contributed 5 home runs and 36 RBI.
