At a glance:

This will be the first visit to Cleveland for the Cubs since they won the 2016 World Series at Progressive Field. The Indians entered Monday night's game at Baltimore first in the American League Central at 11-8. They were getting it done with pitching. The Indians entered Monday 12th in the AL in runs scored and 14th in batting average and on-base percentage. But their team ERA of 2.65 was second only to Houston. Jose Ramirez entered the day with a line of .236/.353/.528 with 7 homers and 12 RBI. The Cubs had a good offensive weekend at Colorado. Javier Baez leads the team with 7 homers and 23 RBI. Kris Bryant, who was hit on the helmet with a pitch Sunday, is at .319/.467/.536. The Cubs say Bryant suffered a small cut above his eye but showed no signs of concussion. The team needs to get first baseman Anthony Rizzo (.146) going. Cubs starting pitchers rank 14th in the NL with only 7 quality starts. The offense is ranked first in OBP, second in runs and batting average.
