Baseball: Willowbrook, Neuqua Valley, Glenbard South win

Willowbrook 4, Addison Trail 3:

Addison Trail (6-6, 3-3) took a 3-2 lead with a run in the top of the sixth, but the Warriors (7-6, 3-3 West Suburban Gold) scored twice in the bottom of the sixth on Sam Pelsor's 2-run single. Dax Meyer nailed down the save in the seventh for winning pitcher Jack Nilles. Vince Daudelin's RBI single gave the Blazers the lead. Daudelin, Mike Scali and Angelo Pahopos had 2 hits apiece.

Neuqua Valley 11, WW South 1:

The Wildcats (11-0, 6-0) scored 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to end the DuPage Valley game. Evan Rannklev went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI while Noah Ernst also drove in 2 runs. Ricky Castro struck out eight.

Glenbard South 5, St. Edward 2:

John McMahon and Mason Barnick each went 4-for-4 and combined for 3 RBI for the Raiders (5-9, 3-3) in the Metro Suburban. Logan Barnick pitched into the sixth inning to earn the win.

Glenbard East 9, West Aurora 4:

A 5-run top of the sixth inning powered the Rams (10-4, 2-0) to victory in the Upstate Eight Valley. Taylor Westerhoff had 2 hits. Jacob Baily picked up the win with 2 innings of scoreless relief for starter Mitch Glennon.

Wheaton North 5, Metea Valley 1:

Jackson Gray and Connor Olson each went 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Falcons (9-3, 5-0), who stayed unbeaten in the DuPage Valley. Jon Vesevick allowed only 3 hits in 6⅔ innings. Cade Sullivan went 3-for-3 for Metea Valley (4-7, 1-5).

Naperville Central 11, Waubonsie Valley 3:

The Redhawks (8-3, 5-1) broke out to a 7-0 lead in DuPage Valley action. Payton Thorne went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI while Dom Gabrielli drove in 2 runs. Winning pitcher Jared Suchevits struck out six and allowed 1 hit in 5 innings.

York 10, Glenbard West 7:

The Dukes (8-4, 2-2) evened up the West Suburban Silver series by rallying from a 6-1 deficit after three innings. Ryan Ross and Jake Hadawi drove in 2 runs apiece. Scott Tucker was the winning pitcher. Jack Campanella went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI for Glenbard West (5-5, 3-3).

Timothy Christian 7, Aurora Central 6:

After Timothy Christian surrendered the lead in the top of the seventh, Jakob Loerop won the game for the Trojans (7-7, 2-3 Metro Suburban) in the bottom of the inning with a walk-off single. Winning pitcher Jimmy Allen went 3-for-4 while Connor Gwaltney, Nick Huisman and Loerop had 2 RBI.

IC Catholic Prep 12, Walther Christian 2:

The Knights (7-8, 4-2 Metro Suburban) won in six innings after scoring 7 runs in the second inning. Griffen Eichhorn homered and drove in 3 runs while Andrew Falduto had 4 RBI. Peter Sykora went 4-for-4 with 2 RBI.

Downers North 4, Hinsdale Central 3:

Hinsdale Central (5-6, 1-5) appeared poised for a West Suburban Silver victory with a run in the top of the ninth but Cameron Demos singled home the tying and winning runs in the bottom of the ninth for Downers North (5-7, 5-2).
