Baseball: Unbeaten Grayslake C. gains Moe-mentum with 1-hitter

Junior right-hander Coby Moe tossed his second 1-hitter of the young season, as Grayslake Central's baseball team ran its record to 12-0 and 5-0 in the Northern Lake County Conference with a 1-0 victory over Grayslake North on Thursday.

The game was played at Central, but North was the designated home team.

Moe fanned nine and walked two in picking up his third victory of the season. He lost his no-hit bid in the bottom of the seventh when Nick Lovitsch singled.

Nic Presutti had a pair of hits, walked and scored the Rams' lone run in the fourth inning.

Nate Marshall was the tough-luck loser for Grayslake North, allowing only 3 hits with 3 strikeouts.
