Tristan Atkins (2 hits, 2B, RBI), Ryan Ignoffo (2 hits, 3B), Billy Blank (2B, 2 RBI) and Matt Breig (2B, 2 RBI) led the offense for the Trojans (9-2-1, 4-2). Erik Hedmark and Henry Smith had the only hits for D-C (3-8, 2-3).
CL Central 7, Hampshire 2: Hampshire rapped out 15 hits in this FVC game but left 11 runners on base. Nicholas Sladek had 4 hits for the Whip-Purs (7-7, 1-5) while Andrew Krajecki, Trevor Laffin (RBI) and Zachary Golden (RBI) had 2 each. Matthew Jachec added a double.
CL South 8, Prairie Ridge 0: The Gators (4-5, 2-0) won this FVC game despite getting only 3 hits but by taking advantage of 5 walks and 3 errors. Kyle Lang went 5 innings and allowed just 2 hits with 5 strikeouts and no walks to earn the win for Crystal Lake South.
Batavia 10, Larkin 2: Dylan Schick allowed just 3 hits with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks over 5 innings as the Bulldogs (8-3, 5-1) won in the Upstate Eight River. Carter Gette (2 hits, 2 RBI), Michael Niemiec (2B, 2 RBI) and Blake Carlson (2B, RBI) led the Batavia offense. Kobe Mounivong had 2 hits for Larkin (5-5, 2-2).
Glenbard East 9, West Aurora 4: Dustin Tomas had a double and 3 RBI for West Aurora (6-5, 0-2) in its UEC Valley loss.
St. Charles East 10, Elgin 0: Brett Brueske 94 IP, 5 Ks, 2 BBs) and Alec Rupp (1 IP, 3 Ks, 1 BB) combined on a five-inning no-hitter for the Saints (5-4-1, 3-0) in the UEC River. Patt Griffin had 2 hits and 5 RBI for SCE and Cole Conn added 2 hits and an RBI.
Burlington Central 9, Glenbard North 0: In a nonconference game, Ryan Knowlton had 2 hits with a home run and 4 RBI, Nick Matijevic 2 hits with a double and an RBI and Zach Schutta 2 hits and 2 RBI to lead the Rockets (7-5). Caden Scott and Colton Wallace each added doubles for BC while Kyle Hresil allowed just 2 hits over six innings, strikeout out four and walking three to earn the win.
Prospect 7, Geneva 4: Dominic Guido and Nick Black each had 2 hits with home runs and 2 RBI for Geneva (2-7-1) in its nonconference loss. Ian Hanson added a double for the Vikings.
Timothy Christian 6, ACC 5: Timothy scored in the bottom of the seventh to take this Metro Suburban game from Aurora Central. Kyle Czerak (2 hits, 2B, Alex Rakas (2 RBI), Mac Doherty (2 hits, RBI) and Eric Valles (2 hits, 3B, 2 RBI) led ACC (11-4, 3-2).
Glenbard South 5, St. Edward 3: Jack Olson had 3 hits with 2 doubles and Jacob Lesh added 2 hits for St. Edward (2-13, 0-3) in the Metro Suburban.
Aurora Christian 12, IMSA 0: Eric Hernandez (2 hits), Sam Tickel (2 RBI), Clark Curek (2 hits, 4 RBI) and Hunter Thompson (2 hits, 2 RBI) led Aurora Christian (10-1, 5-0 to a Northeastern Athletic Conference win. Thompson, Hernandez and Nick Ports combined on a 3-hitter for the Eagles.
