Grayslake Central 2, McHenry 0: Grace Herrmann and Maura Fitzgerald scored for the Rams, who won for the second day in a row to improve to 2-0.
Briana Carcamo made 1 save in earning the clean sheet.
"I have been very happy with the unselfish play of the girls in these early games," Grayslake Central coach Daniel De Paz said. "They are playing simple soccer, trusting one another, and building confidence."
Lake Zurich 0, Fremd 0: Claire Jones made 3 saves in net, as the Bears opened their season with a nonconference draw.
Crystal Lake South 2, Grant 0: The Bulldogs trailed 1-0 at halftime of the nonconference match.
"Our defense played solid, we just couldn't get anything going offensively," Grant coach Olivia Jansen said. "Lexi Werve had a lot of key saves in goal that kept us in the game."
Antioch 0, Waukegan 0: The Sequoits' nonconference draw gave them an 0-2-1 record in the opening week of the season.
Stevenson 3, Buffalo Grove 0: On Wednesday, Brianna VanZanten had a goal and an assist, as the Patriots won their season opener, giving PepeJon Chavez his first victory as head coach.
Jess Baigorria and Hannah Lapeire also scored in the nonconference match, and Gracie Wingfield added an assist. Keeper Zoey Friedman earned the clean sheet.
Carmel 1, Lake Forest 0: On Wednesday, Skyler Thomas scored for the host Corsairs, and Zenaya Barnes picked up the assist.
